Become a Volunteer
Our Local Volunteers must be age 18 or older. If a youth age 17 or under is interested in volunteering, he or she must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or approved as a Youth Volunteer. We love having families volunteer together, and much of our daily chore list is completed by groups of individual adults, parents and kids working side by side. Please keep in mind that we do not offer childcare for volunteers. It is the volunteers responsibility to watch his or her children at all times while at the ranch. We rely on this team of volunteers to help our staff with the daily task list, as well as miscellaneous jobs that arise. If you have a specific skill or gift that you would like to offer be sure to indicate that on your application.
• We recommend you sign up for one of our weekly tours if you are
unfamiliar with the program before you volunteer.
• Families, please be prepared to come together and work together while
you are here.

Sponsor a Horse
Our horses come from a variety of backgrounds. These equine, some of which their stories of lost and hurting, are now doted on by children who have been through many similar circumstances. The experiences of the horses give them the ability to reach out to kids in a unique way, making
them what we call "equine counselors.” For the many equines who call this place home, Hitching Post Ministries offers a safe haven, a gentle hand and a life purpose. Our training and riding methods are based on the theories of natural horsemanship, which utilize quietness and patience to communicate with horses in their own language. It is our aim to develop trusting relationships with these magnificent creatures. Please consider sponsoring one of our "equine counselors." By simply choosing a sponsorship level, you can further ensure quality care to our horses and a cost free opportunity to the children who call this their special place.
Your sponsorship will provide aid for the following:
• Countless hours one-on-one with a child and leader
• Daily engagement both physically and mentally
• Lots of grooming, baths and carrots
• Daily hay and grain as needed
• Vitamins and supplements as needed
• Regular preventative vaccinations
• Professional farrier trimming and shoeing as needed
• Tack and equipment replacement and repair
Sponsorship Agreement Information
This agreement in no way entitles sponsor to ownership and/or exclusive privileges in any way to sponsored animal or ranch property. HPM accepts all liability, expressed and/or implied, for sponsored equine. Sponsor has the right to cancel this agreement with a 30 day notice to CPYR administration. All money received from sponsor to date of cancellation remain the property
of HPM. Please note that there may be more than one sponsor per equine. This is to ensure that all of our horses are cared for equally, as the funds go into an account to support our whole herd.
